[ALMA MATTERS ♔] 12.18.11
Just hold on a minute…
Since it’s finals, I could just say “GOGOGO!” and leave it at that…
But actually—your paper’s not really going anywhere anyway.
So here’s an email filled with study breaks, and I promise they’re awesome.
Today at 1pm in Furnald and John Jay lounges, there will be a veritable barrage of cuteness as we host eight dogs from the Delta Society Pet Therapy Organization for your petting pleasure. Additionally, there will be hot chocolate, cider, crafts, yoga, and Stressbusters! It’s pretty much the most ultimate study break EVER. Special thanks go out to the Offices of Residential Programs and Community Development, and most importantly, to the wonderful and brilliant Puppy Coalition. Check the Facebook page for more information.
After you pet the puppies, watch the absolutely hilarious film series by Pat Blute, “Hardcore”—featuring our very own Deantini and Dean Shollenberger! (Note: I realize this sounds like gratuitous self-promotion because I’m also in the video, but really, Pat’s actually a genius.)
And then, because 1) it’s too cold to go outside, and 2) that means you’re in Butler, wearing pajamas and watching Hulu (people, it’s a library, not your mom’s basement)…

d) Rinse and repeat.
If you’re a super-procrastinator, check out the list of policies that CCSC has started this semester and will continue next year after the signature.
Finally, let me conclude this 2011 fall semester of emails by saying that it’s been a privilege writing for you thus far, and thank you for being such a lovely (captive) audience. We’re shaking some things up on CCSC next semester, and if you’d like to get involved at all, just shoot me an email (att2114@columbia.edu) or check out our website.
Happy holidays and all that jazz,
