Dear CC’14,

Over the last day and a half we’ve had a lot of support from you in regards to the class shirts. And for that we love you.

As of this evening we’ve received word that WE CAN GO AHEAD WITH THE SHIRT DESIGN!!! We’re just as surprised as you are with this quick response from the administration and Athletics, but this is due to the support you all showed. From the comments on YourCCSC.com to Bwog to anybody who spread the word on Facebook or in person, you rock. If anything, this past day and a half has built the unity and spirit that people often criticize Columbia for lacking.

The University grants approval on a case-by-case basis and took time to review our design as an exception to the rule. They gave us approval given that the shirts will be for non-commercial and limited use. The University and Athletics care about their work very much, and we are happy to support them and to be supported by them — they ”will grant this exception and approve the design submitted by the Class of 2014.”

Pretty much we don’t know what else to say. Thank you, and get ready for some snazzy tees. Roar, lions, roar!
