Campus Life

The Campus Life Committee of CCSC was created to build community within Columbia College and across the university. Our events are meant to encourage students and help them further enjoy the campus that they are on everyday. Over the years, we have made an increased effort to collaborate with other student groups to help bring our diverse community together. In addition, we are making an effort to do more events that address a wide variety of interests. The committee is always open to new members and new event ideas so please feel free to reach out to us!

During the last CCSC event, students got to see a part of the Core that is often overlooked in general classroom discussions. On Friday, October 28 the Campus Life Committee created a Haunted House that took students through the darker, more horrific scenes of Lit Hum/CC (besides the monstrous reading load…). The tours of the haunted house were led by our old alum, Alexander Hamilton. He first led students through

There were plenty of giveaways, beer for all those of age, free pizza… what more could anyone want? The band performed before the game and during halftime and put on an enjoyable show, and

HC Week Recap: Arts and Crafts

Wednesday was the third day of Homecoming Week and took all of us back to an old school classic: Arts & Crafts. Columbia students came out and decorated t-shirts to show their school spirit. They also had the typical “cookies and juice” combination that reminds us all of our younger (less stressful) years. It was a great way for students to relax, show off their artistic abilities and, with a

Today’s Homecoming Week event was CU Blue, where we gave away dozens and dozens of cupcakes and soda to spirited students. The Lerner ramps were packed with Columbians proudly donning as much blue apparel as possible. And for those who forgot to wear their school colors, a loud chant of “Roar, Lion, Roar” won them a cupcake prize. Come to the Thursday Arts and Crafts event from 12:00 to 1:30
